Bristol Mountain is the region’s prime destination for downhill skiing and snowboarding. Swain Resort is also a great place to ski, snowboard, and even snow tube. With 35 slopes and snowmaking on 97%, you’ll find a run this is perfect for beginners or experts. Bristol is about 1 hour away, and Swain is about 45 minutes away. In general, Swain is less crowded and has a more laid-back environment.
For stunning winter views, visit Taughannock Falls State Park. It is home to a 215-foot waterfall that partially freezes, creating unique ice formations. Watkins Glen State Park offers visitors an opportunity to see this popular destination transformed by snow and ice. It is a must-visit!
