1. Bishop/Gillette Headstone | Penn Yan, NY
The Bishop/Gillette Headstone at Lakeview Cemetery in Penn Yann, NY, is an excellent example of unexplainable paranormal activity. The headstone memorializes the entire Gillette family; however, one family member stands out from the rest. There’s an image that resembles a woman, thought to be Matilda Gillette, resting her head on the gravestone that no amount of polishing can get rid of. Visitors can see the “Lady in Granite” for themselves seven days per week from dusk till dawn!
2. Miles Wine Cellars | Himrod, NY
The Finger Lakes region of New York State is known for its exceptional wineries. Did you know that one is home to a different type of spirit? Miles Wine Cellars specializes in flights and frights! The Greek-revival-style mansion has a lengthy haunted history, including unexplained footsteps, slamming doors, and more. They even offer a “Ghost” wine. This white blend is a light, semi-dry Chardonnay!
3. Spook Hill | Middlesex, NY
The laws of gravity seemingly don’t exist atop Spook Hill in Middlesex, NY. Here, visitors can shift their vehicle to neutral and watch in awe as it creeps up the hill backward! Don’t believe it? See it for yourself with this video!
