Christmas in the Park
The holiday season is the most wonderful time of the year in our area! Each year, the Hammondsport Chamber of Commerce decks the halls with Christmas in the Park, a one-night event that features crafts, sweet treats, carols, and even a visit from Santa! Wander around the Village Square to browse local food and craft vendors, enter the Chamber raffle, enjoy a horse-drawn wagon ride, and don’t forget to get your picture with Santa!
Hammondsport Winter Stroll
The Hammondsport Winter Stroll is a great way to taste our town’s local flavors. This one-night-only annual event features local wine, beer, spirits, and more at various businesses around town. Enjoy local samplings from multiple tasting venues hosted by our magical local companies. This event sells out quickly! Make sure to buy tickets in advance.
Spring
Saperavi Festival
Celebrate a new tradition at Saperavi Festival hosted at Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery in Hammondsport. Sample unique wines made from the Saperavi grape variety produced in Georgia, the Finger Lakes, and beyond. Enjoy delicious locally made Georgian cuisine and experience the Finger Lakes, NY culture, with walkaround tasting, cooking demonstrations, and educational seminars!
Keuka Lake Gravel Classic
Up for a challenging and scenic dirt road race in the heart of the Finger Lakes beer and wine country? Steuben Brewing Company hosts the annual Keuka Gravel Classic. You’ll be able to choose from two courses with different distances through vistas and vineyards, soul-crushing climbs, and gnarly descents. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or seasoned cyclist; the routes are for everyone! After the race, celebrate with prizes, music, food, and beer at the after-party!
Race to the Rosé
Be sure to break out your bowler hats and bowties for this Kentucky Derby-inspired event at Point of the Bluff Vineyards in May. You’ll enjoy plenty of rosé, live music, live streaming of the Kentucky Derby, and delicious eats from The Park Inn. There’s always a prize for being best dressed, in which 1920s derby attire is highly encouraged!
Summer
Hammondsport Village Wide Yard Sale
The saying goes, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” Each fall, locals and visitors thrift for treasures at the Hammondsport Village Wide Yard Sale. You never know what you’re going to find!
Hammondsport Fireman’s Carnival
Nothing says “summer” quite like a carnival. Each Fourth of July, the Hammondsport Fire Department hosts a multi-day carnival complete with rides, a parade, and a firework show. It’s a great event for families during summer vacation. Kids and parents will love the live music, bounce houses, mini-golf, and delicious Carnival fare!
Hammondsport Festival of Crafts
Find one-of-a-kind treasures at the Hammondsport Festival of Crafts! This annual event showcases over 100 local vendors’ creations. Browse various arts and crafts in the Village Square and look at unique local masterpieces from jewelry artisans, potters, photographers, quilters, leatherworkers, floral designers, woodworkers, candle makers, and gourmet chefs! From custom tee shirts to handcrafted pottery, you’re sure to find the perfect souvenir to take home for yourself or someone special.
Tour de Keuka
Cyclists of all skill levels are welcome to compete in the Tour de Keuka, an annual charity bike ride around Keuka Lake. Choose from 3 different courses, ranging from 45 miles to 100 miles. What’s better than biking for a cause? All local proceeds are donated to a local food bank. You’ll finish with a Keuka T-shirt and a medal to commemorate the race!
Point of the Bluff Farmers Market
Every Thursday beginning in June, shop home-grown, fresh, and nutritious foods while supporting local artists, makers, growers, and producers at the Point of the Bluff Farmers Market. Spend the evening enjoying live acoustic music, bocce courts, wine, beer, and light dishes.
Music in the Park
Music in the Park is Hammondsport’s fun, family-friendly summer concert series. Take in live music performances every Thursday evening in the Village Square during July and August. Feel free to dine at a local restaurant with an outdoor patio to take in the sounds of Village Square.
Wine Country Classic Boat Show & Regatta
Come see some of the finest classic boats and cars, from Fiberglassics to “Woodie” cars. This two-day event is free to all and includes a judged boat show, a boat parade, and a Poker Run Regatta! You can also enjoy BBQ sponsored by the Boy Scouts.
Fall
Wings and Wheels in Hammondsport
Wings & Wheels in Hammondsport is one of our favorite annual events! The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum hosts this event, including a seaplane show, classic car shows, kid-friendly activities, and yummy food and drink. You can get up close to the aircraft and talk to the proud owners of these Seaplanes! What an extraordinary experience.
